Used to measure the board feet content of lumber. They are the product of many years of experience. Preferred by lumber inspectors everywhere. The flexible shafts are hand-crafted from the finest split hickory. The patented heads are one-piece, light-weight hardened stainless steel with pre-bent sharpened points for grabbing the lumber, will never rust and the points will stay sharp for a long time. The figures are large, crisp, bold and black for ease of reading. Each rule has a six inch walnut handle sized for comfort and rounded to fit the palm. All rules are finished with two coats of polyurethane plastic to keep the scales from wearing off. Two scales configurations are offered. The 3-Line type has figures for measuring 12'-14'-16' lengths on one side and 8'-10'-18' on the other. The 4-Line type has 10'-12'-14'-16' and 9'-11'-13'-15'. The heads of these rules have a built-in thickness gauge. The numbers face the user, making them useable by either a right or left-handed inspector. |
